Introduction to Microsoft Excel


What is Excel?

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program used for handling and manipulating numbers & data.

Spreadsheet is a table used to store various types of data. The data is arranged in rows and columns to make it easier to store, organize, and analyze the information.

Why Excel?

Using Excel as a calculator to explore what mathematical equations can tell us about how the real world works for specific input conditions or for a range of possible values.

  • Graphically displaying equations (analytical models) and real data.
